All the feels after this guy swept me off to NYC for a 24hr kid-free getaway. Feeling rested, recharged, and ready for a few days of solo parenting, though we’re all already missing daddy big time.
Somehow I’ve figured out how to continue to grow in my career and be home with these babies. Feeling so fortunate for this little life I live.
I am 5mo #postpartum and I’m realizing it’s not luck that has allowed me to feel good running 8.2mi this afternoon (and running now most days if the week) It’s a lot of pelvic floor pre-hab. A lot of transverse abdominal work. A lot of squats. Time spent at PT (when I’d rather be elsewhere) Regardless of your fitness goals birthing a baby is traumatic to your body. I never thought about it in that light until my PT explained it from your pelvic floor / vagina POV (weird perspective but impactful) There is not enough education out there for woman postpartum on how to heal your body. If you’ve had a baby, regardless of your fitness goals, consider seeing a pelvic floor PT. #selfcare #postpartumjourney
